I'm a winner - in more ways than one!

Tonight I ventured to Borders in Annapolis to knit, listen, laugh and enjoy myself immensely at the Maryland stop of The Yarn Harlot's current book tour.

I arrived at about 2:30 (for the 7 PM event). Sat in the second row, behind the ladies that had been there since 9 AM!!!! Book signing tickets were dispensed with abandon. Arriving at 2:30, I had ticket #67. Waiting for groups to be called, I saw one ticket with a 179, and I know that some audience members did not pick up tickets or bring/buy books to be signed. So, there were more than 179 people at the bookstore to hear Stephanie speak.

Stephanie getting her sock ready for the 'from the podium' pictures.

Stephanie holding my best sock. Me holding Stephanie's Tour Sock and sporting a Ravelry shirt! (I think I found a new recruit for Ravelry - Joanne from OH, come on in!)

It was fun. Stephanie was funny, delightful, a great sport. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Maryland in the Fall? Foliage is beautiful!

When I got home, I found an e-mail from Sherri at Sherri Knits. She is celebrating her Blogiversary and I won the prize for commenting during her celebration. Drop by and say hi!

A delightful ending to a delightful day!

Congratulations on winning....and I am so glad you had a very enjoyable day.....My mom just told me thee other day, that when we are able to venture to Maryland, again, that we just have to go to Annapolis, we were talking about all we want to take the kids to do, the Aquarium, D.C., Luray caverns, all the stuff I use to do as a kid.....
Have a great day...........

What a great day!

Thanks for your help on the pizza survey. That sounds like my kind of pizza, made me feel very hungry (but then much like pudding, I always have room for pizza!)
